Meet the founder & CEO

I am Ravindra Thakkar, PhD, the Founder and CEO of Therivapeutics LLC, bringing over a decade of experience in structural biology and biomolecular modelling

My work integrates experimental and computational approaches in structural biology, with a focus on computational biomolecular modeling and electron microscopy for therapeutic applications. Leveraging my expertise in protein structural biology and structure/function relationships, I have successfully designed de novo therapeutic peptides using Rosetta and predicted their molecular interactions through molecular docking and MD simulations and free energy calculations using NAMD and Gromacs. Further I have validated protein-protein interactions with their respective receptor proteins using Biolayer interferometry (BLI) and cryoEM single particle analysis. Additionally, I have obtained an international patent for a designed cyclic peptide used in cancer immunotherapy. This achievement demonstrates my ability to translate scientific research into tangible outcomes with the potential to improve patient lives.

Ravi Thakkar

I am a skilled electron microscopist with specialized expertise in applications across structural biology, clinical pathology, general biological and soft material research including nanomaterial characterization. I have extensive experience in studying morphological changes in cells and organelles under various disease states and experimental conditions, as well as in identifying viral and bacterial deposits in animal and plant tissues under infectious conditions

I am passionate about building partnerships to tackle complex challenges that improve human health and benefit society and served on collaborative projects with have worked with Sanofi, Altos Lab, Syrna Therapeutics, Charles-River Laboratories and many more.
